This version fixes a crash that made the app no longer start up. If you have this issue, download the DMG to reinstall Emerald. Your data won't be lost, you're just updating manually.

Version 0.50

This version marks history. Emerald for Mac has oficially exited Alpha! There are lots of features and performance improvements to talk about.

NEW FEATURES:

• Tables are now Spaces. This update brings the Spaces selctor and the bottom and Tabbies now are near the Pinned Tabs, with a divider line.
• Emerald had only one AI feature, ChatGPT Search. It was fine, but what if there are more? Itroducing MyIntelligence! MyIntelligence is an AI that improves your internet life. These are its features:
• Renamer: Have your tabs automatically renamed with shorter titles when you Pin them.
• Organizer: Organize your Tabbies with sections and create a Folder of them easily.
• AI Sidebar: Ask questions to your preferred Al agent while visiting a webpage.
• ChatGPT Search: Search with ChatGPT easily with the search bar.
• All of these features can be disabled. To learn more, go to Emerald > Settings > MyIntelligence.
• The Search bar is now smarter, with big bugs fixed, Spaces switching and Space selection when changing Tabs from it.
• There's a brand new Emoji picker that has all the emojis with a search bar!

PERFORMANCE FIXES:

• Made the Sidebar 3x more efficient! For proof, I opened 15 tabs on 3 Spaces and it was running smoothly. The old one with 7 Tabs was laggier.
• Fixed a bug that wiped Spaces and Tabs when updated. If it still happens, DM me on Reddit.
• Fixed issues with iCloud Sync. If it still doesn't work, wait a few minutes to make sure all data is downloaded. There's also a Sync sction in Settings where you can see if something's going wrong. I'm going to also release a patch for iOS soon.
• Fixed some padding issues in Settings.
• LOTS of other bug fixes

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

• Emerald for Mac is now in PRE-BETA. I want to first fix some important bugs before switching to beta, just like it happened when I released Emerald for Mac to the public 3 months ago.

Version 0.35

This version is one of the biggest updates that I have launched, adding LOTS of requested features and improving stability.

NEW FEATURES:

• After a month of little testing and a week of finalizing them with Codex, Extensions are here! Not all extensions are compatible though, but there's a store with extensions that work in Emerald (extesnions that I have tested) with the direct ZIP download. To Access it, go into Settings > Extensions > Emerald Extension Store.
• You can now swipe to change between Tables, plus a theme changing effect when you scroll!
• Reader is here! You can now read articles without distractions and in dark mode!
• The Window background is a little bit more opaque.
• Added missing features to the non-liquid Glass version (macOS Sequoia)

PERFORMANCE FIXES:

• Made the Sidebar more efficient, specially when it has folders and they are opened.
• Unified Settings and fixed LOTS of performance bugs.
• Fixed issues with the Search Bar ang suggestions
• LOTS of other bug fixes

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

• Emerald for Mac now requires macOS Sequoia (15.0) or later. This change allowed me add Extenions and Table swiping.
• Emerald for Mac is leaving Alpha really soon! I haven't found any big issues in this version, but if you find big issues or bugs, report them to me before I switch to Beta.

Version 0.34.1

This version fixes some issues when typing very fast, opening Favorites and unwarpping optionals so Emerald doesn't crash. Sorry for those crashes. As a reward, I'm giving you 2 requested features today!

These are the features:

• Peek is here! Now, when the website requests a new tab, it will open as a popup that you can close easily by pressing the close buttton or pressing outside of the popup.
• You can now use the arrows to change between webistes, recents and search suggestions!
• Reengineered the sidebar once again to use the same efficiency as 0.34, but showing it as an overlay when closed so the web content doesn't get resized.
• You can now download images by right-clicking an image and pressing "Download Image..."

I have to apologize for all the bugs that were present on version 0.34, I'm really sorry.

In version 0.34, Emerald for Mac's performance has improved, and lots of new features have been added!

Here's what's new:

• Emerald for Mac's window core has been redesigned! This makes Emerald faster! This also includes sidebar toggling improvements and a blurred window for a better legibility
• Fixed paddings with fullscreen and borderless mode
• Improved tabbies efficiency. You can now press the down arrow button to clear all Tabbies and they delete automatically every 12 hours by default. You can change this in Settings
• Table opacity has been added so you can use pastel colors or show a bit of your background from your desktop
• Fixed issues with control + tab switching
• The blocker is now stronger! There's also a YouTube ad blocker as well
• LOTS bug fixes

In version 0.33, Emerald for Mac's performance has improved, plus adding some features that will improve the experience.

Here's what's new:

• Arc is now available in browser importing! This feature was the most requested one this week.
• Folders are now more customizable! Now, you can change its icon, making it more YOU.
• Tables can now be reordered!
• Fixed issues with logins on popovers with other Sign in services such as Google or Microsoft. Some websites that use this technology are: Figma, Reddit, Notion, etc.
• Control + Tab switching has been added!
• Website Permissions now work as expected. With this update, Camera, Microphone, Apps and Location permissions are now usable thanks to fixing a little bug that wasn't identified before when I removed the sandbox.

In version 0.32, Emerald for Mac makes moving to Emerald easier and has a lot of performance fixes.

Here's what's new:

• Introducing Browser Importing! You can now import your bookmarks and profiles from your previous browser to Emerald! There are some web browsers available, buit if you want more browsers, just let me know!
• There's also a new Recents system! Now, every website that you visit, will appear in Recents! This new system also shows the time and date when the Recent was created and this system makes Emerald up to 3x faster because it's now a separate class!
• Search Suggestions have been improved, adding symbol idicators to detect if it's a Pinned Tab, a Tabbie, a Favorite or a Recent
• Folder in Folder in Folder? Now it's possible thanks to nested Folders and Tabs!
• Made some improvements to the siedbar performance

In version 0.31, Emerald for Mac's performance has improved and has new features.

Here's what's new:

• Introducing Vertical Toolbar! With Vertical Toolbar, the website controls will live at the top of the page and they will integrate with it
• Improved the Favorites Content Menu. This update reorders its contents and adds Pinned URL changing
• The black color is now fully supported! This update fixes some issues that it had with this color and it has also been added to the Theme Editor
• iCloud won't force sync automatically by default. iCloud will now sync depending on your internet connection and power mode. It will force sync defocusing and focusing the window, pressing ^ + S or pressing the iCloud button on the Sidebar. This option can still be enabled, but it's not recommended
• There's now a Recents count indicator in Library
• Little bug fixes

Version 0.30

In version 0.30, Emerald for Mac can now Sync with iOS and has some requested features.

Here's what's new:

• Intrducing iCloud Sync! Now, you can Sync your Tables, Folders and Tabs across iPhone, iPad, Mac and Vision Pro!
• Picture in Picture will trigger automatically when you switch Tabs. This can be disabled pressing the gear icon.
• Added new organization options in Tabs. You can switch from a destination to another, just like on iOS!
• Fixed some performance issues. If you sometimes notice a little bit of lag, that's iCloud trying to Sync with iOS. It tries getting data every 1.75 seconds, but that doesn't mean it will lag every 1.75 seconds. This only happens in Tahoe, because Liquid Glass hasn't been optimized on macOS yet. Don't worry, you'll hardly notice it.
• LOTS of bug fixes
